SafeGold is the retail brand of Digital Gold India Private Limited (Company). It is an institutionally backed company, primarily owned by Invent Advisors Private Limited (Invent). The World Gold Council (India) Private Limited, as well as various other investor funds, hold minority stakes in Digital Gold India Private Limited.

Yes, it is safe. For every purchase of Digital Gold you make, an equivalent weight of physical gold is deposited in an insured vault that is backed by a 3P Government backed trustee. This physical gold is held in the vault until you sell your Digital Gold.

The gold associated with the accumulations credited in your account is kept in safe custody with a custodian in accordance with the terms of the offer mentioned in the product brochure. Only reputed firms such as Sequel Logistics and Brinks will be used as a custodian.

SafeGold has entered into a relationship with Vistra Corporate Services to act as a Security Trustee for all our customers. The Security Trustee is entitled to act on your behalf and ensure that your interests are protected. The Security Trustee will have a charge on the gold associated with accumulations held by you.

The secure storage provider (Brink's) has a comprehensive, global insurance policy that includes the insurance cover on your gold stored in their vaults. In addition, SafeGold has an additional insurance policy to cover gold in transit.

Yes. Your gold sits in Brink’s, the global leader in vault logistics, under comprehensive insurance that covers the metal inside the vault. SafeGold also extends insurance for the brief periods when gold is in transit (such as delivery or redemption), and both partners regularly review coverage to plug any emerging risks.

The money will be transferred instantly within 15 minutes. However, in case of delays it can take up to a maximum of 48 hours.

Yes. The SafeGold platform operates round the clock, so you can accumulate more gold or liquidate what you hold at any hour without waiting for market sessions or manual approvals.

The difference in the buying and selling prices is due to a 3% GST and costs such as bank charges, payment costs, technology costs and hedging costs that SafeGold undertakes.

SafeGold offers 24 Karat Gold of 995 purity (99.5% pure).

Karat is the term used to measure the purity of gold. 995 is considered to have 99.50% purity and is commonly referred to as 24K gold. Gold marked as 24 Karat is the purest gold commonly available.

Our purchase price is inclusive of 3% GST, the break-up of which can be seen on your invoice.

SafeGold provides complimentary vaulting for the first five years. After that, they may levy a small annual storage fee—currently signaled at about 0.3-0.4% per year—calculated on your outstanding gram balance. We’ll notify you well in advance if that applies to your holdings.

There is no benchmark for comparing the price of SafeGold. MCX cannot be considered as a benchmark, since there are many differences between SafeGold and MCX.
SafeGold MCX
SafeGold price include the cost of storage, insurance, trustee fees and gives you the landed, complete price of Gold. MCX gives the prices of a futures contract, which doesn't give the landed prices by factoring in the cost of logistics, insurance, safekeeping, etc.
SafeGold provides delivery across the country. MCX does not include delivery all over India. Based on the contract, it provides delivery only at a few select locations like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, etc.
SafeGold price is valid for fractional grams and therefore, is not directly comparable. The gold price quoted in newspapers and on various websites is the wholesale price in multiples of 1kg of gold.

You can buy Digital Gold for as little as Rs.10. At any given point in time, you can only store a maximum gold balance of 30gms.

We initiate the payout the next business day after your sell order finishes, once your bank details pass any required verification. Because banks process transfers only during working hours and inter-bank settlements can lag, the credit may take up to four working days to reflect, though it often arrives sooner.

You can buy and sell Digital Gold without any lock in. If you buy it today, you can sell after 7 days of purchase.

Yes, you will be required to pay the minting/ making charges, delivery charges and applicable taxes. All coins are independently assayed to certify purity and delivered in tamper proof packaging. Charges are as per the table below:
